When a hard winter hits and salt runs short across the country, the crews that reserved their supply keep working. Everyone else waits. Champion now operates its own salt terminal on the Ohio River in Cincinnati, so the Buy-In Guarantee Program lets you lock in your tonnage and your price before the first storm.

 

We store and deliver your material from our Cincinnati terminal, so a hard winter and a national salt shortage don't leave you scrambling.

How It Works

  • Sign a contract for your agreed tonnage and pricing. 

  • Place a $20-per-ton deposit to reserve your product. We credit the deposit toward your final balance. 

  • We store and deliver from our Cincinnati terminal throughout the winter. 

  • Pay for any remaining tonnage not delivered by 3/31/2027. 

  • We hold your remaining material in Cincinnati through the summer, up to 3/31/2028.

Good To Know

The minimum delivery quantity for each order is 20 tons. To request a delivery, email orders@gotochampion.com with your company name, delivery address, requested delivery date, tonnage, contact name, and phone number. We will confirm quantity, delivery date, and instructions once we receive your order. Orders are subject to product availability, weather, road conditions, and transportation scheduling.
