The AMLA Round-Point Closed-Back Shovel features a high-strength 14-gauge tempered steel blade measuring 9-1/4″ wide by 12″ long. The blade is reinforced with an additional welded steel ribbon along the back, increasing durability and preventing bending under heavy loads. A black surface coating helps resist rust and corrosion while making cleanup easier after use.
This shovel is equipped with a 48″ straight hardwood handle and an extended 11″ socket for a secure head-to-handle connection. Thru-rivets maximize structural strength, while the notched handle end bends to conform to the handle’s curve—supporting the core through the neck of the shovel for added durability. The closed-back blade design prevents soil buildup during digging, improving efficiency and reducing cleanup time. Assembled in the USA by AM Leonard and backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
